For now, this is my HG powder. I am incredibly pale with super oily skin, and have yet to find a powder that matches my skin tone. I have this in "105 Translucent Fair" and it still isn't a decent match to my skintone. It is a bit too orange.

This powder does an ok job at keeping me matte. I still have to blot and repowder often. In the morning, I apply this all over my face pretty thickly with the provided puff. Then I buff the excess off with my own powder brush. I do this throughout the day.

This was about $5.50 at Walgreens. I am going to continue to repurchase this until I find a lighter, equally cheap loose powder that can control my oil. I would like to try Jane powder, but my Walgreens hasn't gotten it in yet.

Overall, I would recommend this

Pros: Reasonably priced; Keeps me matte for a while.
Cons: Not pale enough for me; Not *incredibly* absorbant; I have to reapply frequently.

This is my new HG loose powder!  I have very oily skin that normally gets shiny after 2-3 hours regardless of what foundation or powder I'm wearing.  (I've tried various Prescriptives, Clinique, and L'Oreal powders in the past.)  But with this powder, my face is perfectly matte after 3 hours and is only slightly shiny at the end of the day with no touch-ups!  Absolutely amazing!

This powder is also more finely milled than any loose powder I've tried, with a nice silky texture (rather than dry and powdery).  I do need to use more powder on my brush to get an even coat, but it still doesn't make my face look too powdery or dry.

The Translucent Fair shade does have a slight yellow tint compared the more neutral powders I've tried in the past so it may not work for everyone, but it still works for me!

It comes with a sifter and a puff (neither of which I use), although the puff is so hairy it might as well be a brush!  The only thing I don't like about the packaging is that the lid does not screw on so be careful if you throw this powder in a bag or suitcase!

At only $5, this is a product that all oily-skinned girls should try at least once! :)

Pros: The only powder to keep my skin matte for hours! Finely milled, great texture.
Cons: None!
